Start from a requirement

Each list applies the same model to a different question.

The best office chairs

Ranked on support, adjustability and how they hold up across a full working day — with the evidence behind each placement.

The best ergonomic office chairs

Chairs whose support adjusts to the sitter rather than asking the sitter to adapt — judged on lumbar, armrest and seat-depth adjustment.

The best mesh office chairs

Mesh-backed chairs compared on tension, support and what the material trades away.

The best office chairs for tall users

Chairs with the seat width, backrest height and weight rating to suit larger frames.

How to choose an office chair

The four decisions that determine whether a chair works for you, and the specifications that answer each one.

How Bestpicky chooses

Every ranking comes from a published scoring model, run over recorded evidence. When the evidence is thin, the confidence drops — we do not fill the gap with a guess.

Evidence, then a score

Each scoring dimension is backed by recorded sources. A claim with no source behind it does not reach a page.

Missing data lowers confidence

An unmeasured dimension is dropped and the remaining weights are renormalised. Absence never counts as a zero.

Commission cannot move a ranking

Affiliate state is unreachable from the scoring code, and the boundary is enforced in the build.
